The picture is clear; the movements are slow enough to follow. This is a Very Good Beginning Knitter's Resource. All the basic steps are included and I was able to benefit immediately from these lessons (Casting On, Knit Stick, Purl Stitch, Reading Patterns, Gauge, Cables, Changing Colors, etc) because the pictures were clear, the hand movements were slow and the angles were un-obstructed. The lessons are in separate chapters or segments which makes it easy to skip to specific lessons (when you already understand what is being taught) and to repeat specific lessons (when you need additional help). This is especially helpful if you are in the middle of knitting a project and are stuck. Any time of day you can play the topic you need assistance with on your computer. I strongly recommend this product. My only complaint is that this is a CD ROM and not a DVD.
